How many more times...

do I have to watch the scum of the sports world humiliate my teams and send my life into a state of misery. Whether it's Hollywood Brady and the Pats in football, Marty and the NJ Satans in hockey, or those imbred hicks down in Bitch-lanta.

I'm sick (in more ways than one) so I stayed home today and watched the Mets-Brave game. Glavine pitched great, but Hudson is perfect through 5 innings. So in the 6th and we get second and third, one out, top of the order comes up. First pitch, the great Jose Reyes (oh, he's been terrific) pops one to left field. Matt Diaz, whoever the hell he is, catches it and fires a strike to home plate. Castro is out by 30 feet. Next inning, Glavine, who had give up just 2 hits allows a home run to Andruw Jones. Bad enough I'm against this prick right now in fantasy. Now he's killing me in two ways! Then Glavine allows two more runners, but he gets out of it.

Now it's the bottom of the seventh. Woodward leads off with a smash to the shortstop where someone named Tony Pena pulls a Rafael Furcal, makes a ridiculous defensive play, and throws him out. Then Delgado walks, David Wright, and I'm getting sick of him, because he does nothing against Atlanta, gets hit and there are runners on first and second, one out. Xavier Nady comes up. And my first thought is strikeout on a breaking pitch. But no! Double play ball. If Woodward gets on base, everything turns out differently. And you knew right there, the game was over.

Oh, but typical of the Mets. They finally get a rally going in the 9th. Julio Franco, who should join Vinny Testaverde on the retirement couch, grounds out. Figures he leaves Atlanta, and he suddenly can't hit the ball out of the infield. Reyes doubles, Woodward singles him in, and it's 2-1. Delgado comes up. Fly out almost to the warning track in left field. Up comes Mr. 3 errors on the day, the phenom, the franchise, the superstar, David Wright. Promptly bounces out to shortstop. Game over. I should seriously start rooting for the Cubs.

Yeah we're missing Beltran, Floyd, and Hernandez. But they're missing McCann, Giles, Larry Jones, and Langerhans. Hudson and Davies have been horrible all year and we've scored 1 run in 18 innings! And get Wright out of here. He can't get it done in a big spot. Trade him for a starting pitcher and a position player.

And don't tell me about being positive, about how there are 140 games left, we're still in first place. You know what, if you think that, stick it where the sun don't shine. I didin't think it could get worse than the Knicks and Bulls and Reggie Miller in the 1990's. This is pure agony. God I have to stop watching sports. It's going to have me dead inside of 10 years.
