LAVERANUES!!!
For the uninitiated, that's the first name of Coles, the Jets returning wide receiver. Gang Green has now traded Santana Moss for Laveranues Coles. As disgusted as I was with #87 when he bolted for Washington 2 years ago, I am delighted to see him come back. He and Chad Pennington blended together like pretzels and peanut butter (one of my favorite snacks). Along with Justin McCareins, the Jets have a solid wide receiver group. If Jonathan Carter or Jerricho Cotchery can step up this year, it will be key. In my opinion, to be a dangerous NFL offense, you need at least three real receiving threats. If they do sign Jeb Putzier, the tight end from Denver, a dynamic passing game is in the works here. Stay tuned...
